Simply put, no. A question we often hear! The Electric Vehicle Workplace Charge Scheme allows for up to £350 off the install cost install of an EV charger.
The grant is limited to 75% of the purchase and installation costs, up to a maximum of £350. Workplaces can receive up to £350 per socket for as many as 40 sockets, a potential saving of £14,000. As the OZEV scheme covers 75% of the total cost, no charger install will ever be totally free to the customer.
The first step to being eligible for the OZEV grant is choosing an OZEV approved installer. An OZEV approved installer must meet a standard quality of service and therefore gives peace of mind of the install. This also means you are on the right track for being eligible for the grant.
