Amazon's green Christmas: switching to electric delivery vans

As one of the biggest companies in the world, Amazon has a lot of vans on the road (and a lot of carbon emissions to go with it!).

In 2022, the online retail giant announced that their fully-electric vans will deliver parcels to over 100 cities across America. Over 1000 vans were supplied by Rivian to Amazon as part of their €1 billion investment across the next 5 years to electrify their fleet. By 2030, they aim to have 100,000 EVs in their fleet.

Amazon hopes their commitment to sustainable parcel deliveries will spark further charging infrastructure in order to enable more businesses to make the switch to electric vehicles.

Jiten Behl, Rivian's Chief Growth Officer states, "Fleet electrification is essential to reaching the world's zero-emissions goal." If your business is getting onboard with fleet electrification, get in touch with Charge And Recharge for a no obligation consultation.
